COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Even though her name remains on the ballot, Jessica Drewek Miller is dropping out of the race for Branch County Treasurer.
Drewek Miller filed for the seat currently occupied by the retiring Ann Vrablic, but now says she has sold her home in Branch County and is moving to St. Joseph County, making her ineligible even if elected in the August 4 Republican primary.
Still in the race are Steve Rutz and Julie Waterbury. No Democrats filed to run, so the winner of the August primary would take over the office in January 2021.
