QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A groundbreaking ceremony for the 130,000 square foot addition to Speedrack Product’s existing 345,000 square foot building has been scheduled for next Tuesday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m..
The cremony is being hosted by the Quincy Chamber of Commerce.
Speedrack recently said as part of the expansion at 42 Cole Street in Quincy they were creating 80 new jobs.
The expansion was assisted by a Michigan Department of Transportation economic development fund grant of over $325,000 that was used to reconstruct Church Street.
Speedrack is expanding due to increased demand.
To accommodate the expansion in Quincy, changes to their commercial vehicle access were required. Additional loading dock locations were part of the expansion.
Church Street had to be reconstructed since it was not designed to all-season standards and did not have the ability to accommodate commercial vehicles.
