BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A seven day heat wave which featured high temperatures of 90 or above has come to an end.
Showers and thunderstorms will bring in some cooler air on Friday with highs in the low 80s.
The official high temperatures over the past week for Coldwater as recorded at the Branch County Memorial Airport were 90 degrees last Friday, Saturday and Sunday; 91 on Monday, 93 on Tuesday, 92 on Wednesday and 93 on Thursday.
With the heat wave over the last week, Coldwater has now had 11 days of temperatures 90 degrees or above so far this summer.
The extended forecast is calling for highs to get back to near 90 in the middle part of next week.
