CLEVELAND, OH (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions picked three players on the defensive side of the ball during the second day of the NFL Draft. They selected Washington defensive tackle Levi Onruzurike in the second round. Detroit took another defensive tackle, Alim McNeill of North Carolina State, in the third round. Later in the round, they selected cornerback Ifeatu Melifonwu out of Syracuse.
Western Michigan wide receiver and return man D’Wayne Eskridge was drafted by Seattle in the second round. Three Michigan players were selected in the third round. Offensive tackle Jayen Mayfield was picked by Atlanta, Houston took wide receiver Nico Collins and San Francisco selected cornerback Ambry Thomas.
The fourth through seventh rounds will be conducted on Saturday.
