BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – While COVID-19 has trimmed the Independence Day holiday weekend schedule, there will plenty of fireworks to enjoy around Branch County.
Fireworks are scheduled for Friday night at Union City High School’s Alumni Field and over Coldwater Lake.
Fireworks are scheduled to take place at Coldwater’s Heritage Park and over Lake George Saturday night.
The City of Coldwater is asking the community to practice social distancing for the safety of themselves and others while they are at Heritage Park. They are encouraging people to stay within their immediate groups and to wear masks in order to help keep the event as safe as possible.
Those who plan to attend the Coldwater show are encouraged to use nearby parking lots at the dog park, the little league diamonds, the splash pad and the aquatic center as well as at Legg Middle School and at Coldwater High School.
Parking will not be allowed on Western Avenue and on side streets near Heritage Park.
