BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The first heat wave of this summer is expected to arrive just in time for the upcoming Independence Day holiday weekend.
The National Weather Service is calling for high temperatures around 90 on Thursday and in the low 90s Friday through Monday.
It is also expected to stay dry with only a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday.
If you don’t have air conditioning, there will be some uncomfortable nights for sleeping as lows will be in the upper 60s.
As of Tuesday, the Michigan State University Extension Service weather station at the Bloom Dairy Farm has already recorded four days of temperatures of 90 degrees or higher this year.
