BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Calhoun County Public Health Department reported on Friday that there has been another COVID-19 related death in its jurisdiction.
They say there have been 31 persons in Calhoun County who have died after testing positive for COVID-19.
It was the first death reported in the jurisdiction since last Monday.
As of Friday, there have been 463 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Calhoun County with 84 hospitalizations. Eight persons were in a Calhoun County medical care facility on Friday.
The State of Michigan reported 389 new cases on Friday which brought the total amount of cases since the outbreak began to 62,695. As of last week, there have been 49,290 people who have recovered. That figure is expected to be updated on Saturday.
One more COVID-19 related death was reported by the state on Friday which brought the total of number of deaths in Michigan to 5,888.
