COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Sheriff John Pollack told the Board of Commissioners during their work session Thursday that they can expect some significant repair bills for vehicles in the Sheriff’s Department fleet in the near future.
Pollack says they are getting low on vehicles as the units they could fall back on after the 2012 layoffs have gone by the wayside after eight years.
He said they are looking at nearly $3,400 in repairs on two vehicles.
One last week had $1,400 worth of repairs while another right now needs $2,000 to get fixed up. Pollack says it is not even worth that much but it’s the only one they have for Corrections Officers.
Pollack said the fleet is getting older and he told commissioners they can expect to see higher costs in repairs as vehicles age.
