COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Branch County Sheriff’s Department deputy who served the department for over 40 years has lost his battle with cancer.
The Sheriff’s Department announced the passing of Jeryn Frederick on Thursday.
He was with the Sheriff’s Department for over 40 years as both a full time and part time officer.
He also served as the Program Manager for the Criminal Justice Program at the Branch Area Careers Center.
Frederick received many honors and accreditations during his time with the Sheriff’s Department. He also got many letters of appreciation from community members and from parents of students who graduated from law enforcement classes at the Careers Center.
Several of his students have had successful law enforcement careers.
