COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker told the City Council on Monday night that last Friday afternoon’s Unity Rally in the downtown Four Corners Park went well.
He thanked the Coldwater Police and Fire Departments for their help.
Baker also acknowledged the community leaders who took part in the organization.
Hot dogs and buns were provided by the police department after they were donated by Aunt Millie’s and Eckrich.
Baker estimated that at the height of the event, there were at least 200 persons in the Four Corners Park. He noted that people came and went throughout the afternoon.
Despite social media chatter that there would be problems including violence, there were no major incidents in the downtown area last Friday and no arrests.
