ORLAND, IN (WTVB) – An Angola man suffered head and chest injuries on Sunday morning when his vehicle crashed into a tree west of Orland.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says 29-year-old Nicholas W. Bruner was traveling east on State Road 120 when his 2006 Chevy PT Cruiser failed to negotiate a curve in the road near County Road 550 North.
His vehicle then went off the road and struck a tree. Bruner was flown from the scene by the Samaritan Helicopter to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
The Sheriff’s Department says Bruner was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and the airbags deployed.
The Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Orland Fire Department, Steuben County EMS, the Samaritan Helicopter and Parkview Police. The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s office.
