HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – After 12 weeks of restrictions on visitation, Hillsdale Hospital began the second phase of its return to normal operations on Friday as they permitted limited visitors, loosened restrictions on employees and simplified the screening process for those entering the hospital.
Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, visitation has been restricted since March 13.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer then issued an executive order prohibiting visitors to hospitals and healthcare facilities with a narrow list of exceptions.
Starting on Friday, inpatients may receive visitors during specific hours. In most cases, patients are allowed only one visitor who must stay in the patient’s room. Permitted visitors are required to enter through the main hospital entrance for screening.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own mask or face covering if they have one, so the hospital can reserve as much PPE for healthcare workers as possible.
