STURGIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) is reporting that a search warrant served in Sturgis led to a large drug bust Wednesday afternoon.
SWET reports that a warrant was obtained for a residence in the 400 block of Center Street. Detectives from SWET South, SWET East and uniformed officers from the Sturgis police department, St. Joseph county Sheriff’s office and the Michigan State Police arrived on scene to secure the residence.
Four adult males and one adult female were found inside the residence, along with illegal drugs and dozens of used hypodermic needles. The drugs seized by detectives included methamphetamine, heroin and prescription pills.
Two males were arrested for parole violations and were lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail. Warrant requests will be submitted to the St. Joseph county prosecutor’s office for the subjects at the residence once crime lab results are obtained.
No injuries were reported in the bust.
