BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Rotary Club will cease to exist at the end of June.
With the club struggling with retaining and growing membership, the board unanimously decided on Tuesday night to terminate the Bronson Rotary Club as of June 30.
The end comes after the Rotary Club has served the Bronson community since March of 1937.
In a letter to club members, President Derek Shaw said the decision was not taken lightly and was made only after evaluating many different potential ideas over the past six months.
The final board meeting has been scheduled for June 15 at the office of John Wronikowski located at 111 East Chicago.
Any club member that wishes to address the board or provide input on the distribution of funds is invited to attend.
Any member who wants to remain a part of Rotary International may do so by contacting another Rotary club or requesting their membership be transferred.
