STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is partnering with the Michigan Department of Health Human Services, the Michigan State Police, and the National Guard to offer a free COVID-19 testing event this weekend in Sturgis.
The C.H.A. says the drive-thru testing event will take place at the Doyle Community Center at 310 North Franks Avenue.
There will also be a walk-up testing site at the St. Joseph Commission on Aging’s Sturgis Enrichment Center which is located next to the Doyle Center.
All testing will be done on a first come, first served basis from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Individuals seeking a free test are asked to bring identification. insurance is not required and no insurance card will be requested.
Tests can only be done on individuals 18 years of age or older and you must be a Michigan resident.
The Community Health Agency says test results are protected health information under federal law.
The Health Department does not inform law enforcement about your test results or other information about you and they will never ask about immigration documentation status.
