COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency said on Tuesday that “out of an abundance of caution” due to protests planned in downtown Coldwater on Friday, they along with Covered Bridge Healthcare are postponing the planned COVID-19 testing event at the C.H.A. office on North Marshall for one week.
Originally scheduled for this Friday, it will now take place on Friday, June 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..
It will be available for residents in Branch, Hillsdale, and St. Joseph Counties.
Covered Bridge Healthcare will be bringing their mobile healthcare van to the event. Testing will be done on a first come, first served basis.
Highest priority will be given to hospitalized patients with symptoms, any healthcare worker, first responder, or congregate care facility worker with symptoms and residents in any congregate care facility.
Individuals with symptoms can receive testing sooner than next Friday by contacting Covered Bridge Healthcare at 269-467-3228 to arrange a test at their office in Centreville or they can attend the community testing event scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Doyle Community Center in Sturgis.
