COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With portions of Governor Whitmer’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order being relaxed, the City of Coldwater is restoring more services for residents.
City Manager Keith Baker says in his report for Tuesday’s City Council meeting that the yard waste drop-off site has reopened.
It is available weekdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for residents in Coldwater and Coldwater Township. Construction debris or general refuse will not be accepted.
Baker says residents are also welcomed to pick up free wood chips and screened compost from the City. The site is located at 45 Industrial Avenue west of the Branch Area Transportation Authority garage.
In addition, Baker says the City is once again conducting code enforcement activities.
Residents are reminded to keep the grass no higher than six inches. Vehicles have to be parked in a driveway or on an improved surface. Indoor furniture, appliances and other items left outside should be removed.
