WOODBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Reading man was flown to a Toledo hospital and two other persons were taken to Hillsdale Hospital to be evaluated following a three vehicle crash in Hillsdale County of Wednesday afternoon.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says the crash happened on West Camden Road near Cambria Road just before 5:00 p.m..
They report 35-year-old Benjamin Calvin Colbert was trying to pass another westbound vehicle driven by 29-year-old Danielle Ann Marie May of Camden.
Deputies say Colbert struck May’s vehicle in the rear left side and as a result his vehicle went into the eastbound lane and struck another vehicle driven by 43-year-old Rachel Yvonne Hibbard of Camden.
Colbert was flown by Airlift flight service to a Toledo hospital for treatment of injuries he suffered in the crash. Hibbard and a juvenile passenger were taken to Hillsdale Hospital by the Reading Emergency Unit for evaluations.
The Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the crash.
