COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency has reported a second COVID-19 related death in St. Joseph County.
It’s the first St. Joseph County death that has been announced by the C.H.A. since April 12.
There have been 28 deaths in the C.H.A.’s jurisdiction with 24 of them taking place in Hillsdale County and two each in Branch and Saint Joseph Counties.
The daily report from the C.H.A. Thursday showed there have been 97 total case of COVID-19 in Branch County since the outbreak began along with 167 cases in Hillsdale County and 92 cases in Saint Joseph County.
The Calhoun County Public Health Department reported Thursday there have been 321 confirmed COVID-19 cases in their jurisdiction with 19 deaths so far. There were 71 cases that required hospitalization with seven persons still being treated in a Calhoun County medical facility.
