BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Even if Branch County bars and restaurants are given the green light in the next few weeks to resume in person dining with social distancing guidelines, Bronson Strike Zone owner Nate Cranson says they will wait until August third to reopen.
Cranson said in a video posted on the businesses Facebook page he realizes his decision will upset people but they can’t operate at fifty percent capacity.
He said he may not agree with Governor Whitmer’s orders but he will respect and follow them as he did not want to risk losing his licenses.
Another factor in Cranson’s decision to wait until August was the inability for Strike Zone to host various events during the summer with social distancing guidelines in place.
Cranson says he wants his business to be a comfortable place for everyone when they reopen and that nobody will be shamed on their decision to wear a mask or not.
Strike Zone was forced to shut down March 16 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
