COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A man who was injured in a Sherwood Township crash in March of 2019 entered into a plea agreement on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
42-year-old Andrew Wayne Moser entered a no contest plea to a charge of operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor third offense in connection with the crash in the area of Dunks and Division Roads.
Prosecutors dropped counts of operating on a suspended license, reckless driving and lying to a police officer as well as a sentencing enhancement for being an habitual offender in exchange for his plea.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 22.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department investigated the crash after Moser’s vehicle failed to yield at a T intersection stop sign. The vehicle crossed Dunks Road and struck several trees becoming coming to rest in a deep gully.
