COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Both of the Coldwater boys golf teams were in action on Friday as the varsity traveled to Jackson’s Cascade Golf Course while the J.V. team played at Cedar Creek.
The Coldwater Varsity finished eighth at the Jackson Area Invitational shooting a score of 382. Hanover Horton edged Saline by one stroke to win the event with a team score of 334. Coldwater was led by Talan Eberts and Kyle Sheppard who each shot 86’s. Jett Galloway had a 92, Koletin Aldinger shot a 118 and Blaike Kelley rounded out the scoring with a 123.
In the J.V. meet hosted by Battle Creek Lakeview, Coldwater came in 10th place out of 13 teams firing a score of 436. Coldwater was led by Blake Marske who shot a 108, Rayce Johnson and Steven Covell each had 109’s, Parkyr Jones shot a 110 and Owen Mitchell rounded out Coldwater’s scoring with a 123.
Coldwater will host a J.V. Jamboree on Tuesday and the Varsity will participate in the last Jamboree of the season in the I – 8 league at Hankard Hills Golf Course in an event hosted by Jackson Northwest.
