COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The infamous traffic signal at U.S. 12 and Fiske Road malfunctioned again on Friday which led to snarled traffic and frayed nerves on the east side of Coldwater.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says the Michigan Department of Transportation was notified and repairs to an unknown internal issue were expected to take place to the flashing signal late Friday afternoon.
Residents were told to use the intersection safely and cautiously or avoid it if at all possible.
M.D.O.T. had to correct problems to the traffic signal in April of 2019 after there were a number of long backups.
