COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater has announced they are partnering with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority to award home maintenance and improvement grants to eligible home-owners in the Irwin Park Neighborhood.
Irwin Park Neighborhood homes are within the boundaries of Seeley, Smith, Central Park Drive and Thompson Blvd.
According to a news release issued by the city on Monday, qualified residents whose income is 120 percent or less than the Area Median Income and who own and permanently reside in their homes can apply for grants of up to $7,499.
Funds must be used for painting, new siding, roofs, soffits, gutters, doors, windows, and front porch improvements that are visible from the public streets.
The home improvement projects have to be completed before December 15, 2020 in order to be eligible for the grant.
Applications will be available online or by email request beginning Monday and will be accepted through Monday, June 1 at 5:00 p.m.
