COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Board of Directors Wednesday approved temporary changes to the utility’s Rules, Rates and Regulations until the end of the COVID-19 crisis.
CBPU Director Jeff Budd says many of the changes were undertaken in the best interests of the health, safety and welfare of citizens and customers
Several steps have already been taken including shutoffs being discontinued, late fees being waived, the offering of payment plans, the lobby being closed to avoid face-to-face contact and the restoration of previously disconnected services.
Budd says the action being taken by the CBPU mirrors the changes taken by all utility companies in the State of Michigan.
