BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Kellogg Community College has been forced once again to push back the reopening of its buildings and facilities.
The closures will remain in effect until Monday, June 1, in order to comply with government guidance and prevent gatherings of people during the coronavirus pandemic. The College formally closed its physical campuses in Branch, Barry and Calhoun counties as March 18 and most recently announced it would reopen May 18.
K.C.C. officials said in a statement released on Friday that in light of the state’s latest announcement regarding restrictions on places of public accommodation, KCC also extended its campus closure.
During the facility closure, KCC is accepting registrations for students who wish to sign up for Summer 2020 classes, which begin as early as May 11. The summer semester, during which courses are primarily online will start on that day as planned. Access to buildings during the closure is limited to essential personnel who are specifically identified to conduct minimum basic operations.
