COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Republic Waste Services will resume weekly large item pick ups in the City of Coldwater beginning next week.
City Manager Keith Baker told the Coldwater City Council on Monday the service was suspended by Republic about a month ago.
Republic suspended their large item pick up due to the COVID-19 “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order. In an effort to protect their employees, Republic Services deemed large item pick up a non-essential service.
Items are picked up on Thursdays and requests must be made by 3:00 p.m. on the Wednesday before.
Residents can contact City Hall at 279-9531 to schedule a pick up.
There is a one item limit per week with size and weight restrictions.
