COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater area was among those reporting the heaviest amount of snow from Friday’s storm which took place just nine days after temperatures had gotten up to 70 degrees.
The snow which started early Friday morning and lasted throughout the day also took place five days after Easter.
A National Weather Service observer reported six inches of snow in Coldwater on Friday night. Other six inch snowfall reports were made by spotters in Hillsdale and Three Rivers. Litchfield received 6.2 inches of snow.
Lighter amounts were reported to the south as spotters in northern Indiana reported three to four inches of snow. Just under two inches of snow was reported at Montgomery.
Whatever snow is on the ground should be gone within a day as high temperatues are expected to get up to near 50 degrees on Saturday.
