BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – For the second straight day on Tuesday, the Calhoun County Public Health Department reported a county resident has died from COVID-19.
The third Calhoun County individual who passed away from the virus was an older adult with underlying health conditions.
New online information posted by the Health Department at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning showed a spike of new cases. Calhoun County now has 102 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases which is an increase of 11 in the last day. In addition, there have 38 persons who have been hospitalized.
Public Health Department Medical Director Doctor William Nettleton told the Battle Creek Enquirer that the community should consider this a marathon and we have just begun the race.
