COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Better late than never. The tenth annual Branch County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence “Walk A Mile in Their Shoes” event has been postponed until June 27.
It was originally scheduled to be held on April 25 but the date had to be changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nearly $50,000 was raised from the 2019 event as it attracted close to 500 participants.
“Walk A Mile in Their Shoes” is held at the Coach Eby Youth and Family Center in Coldwater and is a fundraiser for the coalition which provides assistance and support for domestic and sexual violence survivors.
The highlight of all of the activities is the march which features men showing their support by wearing women’s shoes.
