COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency reported two more positive COVID-19 cases in Branch County Monday afternoon which brought the county’s total up to 15.
In addition as of 3:00 p.m. Monday, there were 14 cases in St. Joseph County which was an increase of four since Sunday. Officials added there were 46 cases in Hillsdale County and 31 cases at the Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater.
The Calhoun County Health Department reported 41 positive tests in their county on Monday out of 338 tests that have been conducted. They said there have been 220 negative tests while 77 test results were pending.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported on Monday there were 17,721 cases statewide with 727 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
The M.D.H.H.S echoed a recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control on Monday that Michigan residents wear a face covering when outside of their home.
They added that a facecovering is not a surgical or N95 mask which must be reserved for healthcare workers but is a well secured cloth that covers the mouth and nose.
