BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The coronavirus continues to impact the law enforcement community after a Battle Creek officer has now tested positive for the virus.
According to officials, the officer developed symptoms while at home, contacted their family doctor, and received the positive test Friday morning.
The officer is currently recovering at home and anyone who may have come into contact with this individual have already been notified. No other details have been released at this time.
This comes just a day after an officer with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety tested positive for the coronavirus. A Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputy also was a confirmed COVID-19 case.
