QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – For the third straight year, Quincy’s Will Dunn has been named the Big 8 Conference Boys Basketball Most Valuable Player for the 2019-2020 season.
Dunn earned the honor after becoming Quincy’s all time leading scorer during his senior campaign.
The Orioles were 18-3 and won or shared a conference title for the fourth straight season. Before they had a chance to play 18-4 Centreville for a district championship last Friday, the M.H.S.A.A. suspended their winter sports tournaments due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Dunn and teammate Kyler Economou also made the All Conference First Team along with Kyle Johnson of Union City.
Reading’s Dilon Denison, Ben Affholter and Nick Affholter also made the first team along with Homer’s Lowyind Pullen and Damaso LeBron, Marley Sprague of Concord and Connor Lauwers of Jonesville.
Branch County players who earned Honorable Mention were Matthew Hagaman of Quincy along with Bronson’s Graham Eley, Aden Hathaway and Reagan Mayer.
