COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A huge fundraising event for the Branch County United Way’s Dolly Parton Imagination Library has been put on hold due to the coronavirus concerns.
According to organizers of the annual Power of the Purse, which was scheduled to be held this Saturday, March 14 at the Dearth Center in Coldwater:
With the recommendation of our local Health Department and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer statements on cancelling gatherings or events with more than 100 people, the Branch County United Way and the Power of the Purse Committee, has had to make the tough decision to postpone this event until a new date can be looked at.
This decision was made with a lot of discussion, regarding the safety and well-being of our community and a very heavy heart. If you have an investment in this event, please wait for more details of the new date. We will keep you posted via the Facebook Power of the Purse page.
