HILLSDALE, MI. – (WTVB) – Hillsdale County Sheriff Tim Parker has announced that effective on Monday his department will resume 24 hour patrols.
Parker says a portion of the third shift patrol was suspended back in November due to a shortage in Road Deputies and he did not want to force multiple hours of overtime on the remaining deputies.
One of the two deputies that were deployed in the military and has returned to work.
New hires have been in training since November and December and are now free to work on their own.
An additional deputy will be finishing their training in the near future.
