COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital obstetrics team had two “leaplings” in the nursery on Leap Day last Saturday.
Both of the boys were born on February 29, thus making them Leap Year babies.
They are sometimes known as “leaplings, leapers, or leapsters” and will technically only have a birthday once every four years.
There is less than 200,000 leaplings in the United States.
Juan Doegp Rosas-Aquilar was born at 3:29 p.m. and weighed eight pounds, five ounces.
Mazin Amar Nassir was born at 5:43 a.m. and weighed seven pounds, 10 ounces.
