COLDWATER, MI. – (WTVB) – Three students from Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic School have been named as local winners in the 51st annual America and Me Essay contest which is being sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance.
Logan Stritzinger’s first place essay has advanced to the state level competition from which the top ten essays in the state will be selected and announced in April. Stritzinger’s name will also be engraved on a plaque for permanent display in the school.
Josie Mescher was second while Hunter Scheidler was third. All three received award certificates for their achievement.
Eighth graders from throughout Michigan took part in the contest. The topic of the contest was “My Personal Michigan Hero.”
