COLDWATER, MI. – (WTVB) – The National Weather Service says south central Michigan including Branch County as well as extreme northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio remain under a Winter Weather Advisory until 1:00 a.m. on Thursday.
You can get to where you have to get to on Wednesday but you are going to have to take some extra time and slow down.
The overnight snow has left roads a slick mess. State and county highway crews have been out Wednesday morning salting and plowing the roads but you must exercise caution while driving especially on the untreated roads.
Additional snow accumulations of two to five inches are expected by forecasters in the areas affected by the Winter Weather Advisory.
The snow is expected to increase and areas of blowing and drifting snow are expected to develop over rural and open areas. Commutes late today and early tonight will likely be hampered. Travel may still be challenging into Thursday morning.
