UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Union City Police arrested two youngsters over the weekend following a break in of an unoccupied home inside of the village.
17-year-old Trent Matthew Williams was arraigned Monday in Branch County District Court for second degree home invasion. He is also facing a pair of charges involving the stealing of firearms as well as receiving and concealing them.
The co-defendant is a juvenile who will be going through the Juvenile Court system.
The incident took place last Saturday. Union City police say a pair of weapons along with electronics and jewelry were taken in the break in.
Williams bond was set at $50,000. He is scheduled to appear a probable cause hearing in District Court on March 5. A preliminary exam has been scheduled for March 10, 2020.
