MOTTVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The theft of an election sign belonging to a candidate for Saint Joseph County Sheriff is being investigated by the Michigan State Police.
Troopers say the sign for Sheriffs candidate Gordon Evilsizor was stolen sometime between February 16th and Saturday from the south side of U.S. 12 just west of Mann Road in Mottville Township.
Anyone with information on this theft is asked to call the State Police at 269-558-0500.
While it’s not uncommon for an election sign to be stolen, it’s also a misdemeanor in the State of Michigan which could result in a fine of $500 and a 90 day jail term.
