PARMA, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings split a non-conference girls softball doubleheader on Thursday at Parma Western as the Vikings won the first game 6-1 but lost the nightcap 4-2.
Lynsey Smith was the winning pitcher in the first game as she did not allow a earned run and gave up five hits.
Haylie Wilson had three singles and three RBI’s while Smith had a double and a triple.
Jaydn Cary had two singles in the second game.
Bronson Coach Becky Gray said, “We played good competition today and played well. We need to continue to work on getting timely hits and on the little things that will win us ballgames.”
Bronson’s record is now 22-7. They will host their Polish Classic on Saturday.
