BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Kellogg Community College has eliminated the position of Chief Equity and Inclusion which had been occupied by Jorge Zeballos.
His actions outside of President Trump’s Battle Creek rally in December caused some controversy.
Zeballos was seen holding a sign with explicit language which denounced Trump and other top Republicans.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports newly hired KCC President Adrien Bennings announced the move to eliminate the position in an e-mail sent to employees.
A college spokesman told the Enquirer the elimination of the position has nothing to do with widely circulated photos of Zeballos during the protest.
