COLDWATER, MI. – (WTVB) – An open house has been scheduled for Friday afternoon to welcome Wendy Gensch as the new Juvenile Unit Administrator and Referee for Branch County Probate Court.
The open house from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. will be held in the Probate Courtroom.
She takes over for Zack Rusk who left last fall after serving in the position for nearly a year-and-a-half. Rusk was hired in March 2018 after the retirement of John Howard, who served Branch County for almost four decades.
Gensch’s 16-year legal background includes time as an assistant prosecutor in Noble County, Indiana. She helped convict Michael Johnson in the March 2018 killing of two persons in Ligonier, Indiana. He was later sentenced to 170 years in prison for the killings.
