COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was arraigned on five charges Tuesday in Branch County District Court for alleged sex crimes involving underage girls.
31-year-old Michael Robert Cunkle was arrested following a Branch County Sheriff’s Department investigation which started in August 2019.
The Branch County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges of second degree criminal sexual conduct, indecent exposure, aggravated indecent exposure and two counts of accousting for immoral purposes in which the alleged victim was under the age of 16.
Court documents indicate the three alleged victims in the case are under the age of 12.
Cunkle’s bond was set at $50,000. He is scheduled to appear for a probable cause hearing next Thursday, with a preliminary exam in District Court set for March 3, 2020.
