JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School varsity girls basketball team put up a valiant effort on the road Tuesday night at Jackson Northwest, but gave up a late fourth quarter lead as they were beaten by the Mounties 55-51.
The game was tied at 24 at the half and Coldwater led 42-39 heading into the fourth before being outscored 16-9 over the final eight minutes.
Carlee Crabtree scored 18 points, pulled down a career high 13 rebounds and added 6 assists. Mia Rzepka added 10 points and Brooke Moore scored nine points.
Coldwater drops to 8-9 overall and 6-5 in conference play and travels to Pennfield on Friday night.
Also in girls basketball Tuesday night, Bronson lost a non-conference game at home to Schoolcraft 56-48. The Eagles are now 15-2 while the Vikings dropped to 9-7.
Union City’s home game with Bellevue was cancelled and will not be made up.
