COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The last day of classes for Coldwater High School seniors will be next Friday, May 28 and plans are calling for the Class of 2021 to get a big send off from other students in the district.
After a ceremony at the high school ends at around 10:45 a.m., the underclassmen students at CHS will make a tunnel leading the seniors to Legg Middle School.
They will then cross Western Avenue and walk over to the Lakeland Elementary School parking lot.
The Lakeland students will then create a tunnel that will lead the seniors to the bus drop off lot. This is where the seniors will get on the buses for the walk uptown.
After the walk, the seniors will get taken to Jefferson and Max Larsen Elementary Schools to walk through spirit tunnels outside of those buildings.
The seniors then get taken to the First Baptist Church for their luncheon.
Last years traditional Senior Swing Out through the streets of downtown Coldwater had to be cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A Car Parade for the Class of 2020 was held instead in late July.
