NILES, MI. – (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals were beaten in the opening round of the M.H.S.A.A. Division Two team districts on Wednesday night in Niles as Edwardsburg rallied for a 42-39 victory.
The Cardinals were ahead 39-18 before the Eddies won the last four matches including the last one on a pin.
Scoring pinfall wins for Coldwater were Hashed Abdullah at 103, Logan Pike at 119, Vinny Motta at 130, Matt Gipple at 189 and Kevin Hall at 285.
Marshall Hoard won on a major decision at 125 while Nick Buchanan scored a technical fall at 171.
The Cardinals will compete at the Division Two Individual Districts this Saturday at Stevensville-Lakeshore.
