QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – After losing to Quincy last month on their home court in girls high school basketball, the Bronson Vikings returned the favor Tuesday night as they raced to a 51-24 victory over the shorthanded Orioles in Quincy.
The Vikings jumped to a 8-3 lead after the first quarter and were ahead 23-12 at the half. Bronson put the game away with a 19-2 third quarter.
Alanna Mayer led Bronson with 14 points and eight rebounds while Meagan Lasky added 11 points.
Maddie Hinds led Quincy with six points.
The Vikings are now 9-5 overall and 6-3 in the Big 8 Conference while the Orioles dropped to 9-6 overall and 5-5 in the conference.
The Union City Chargers lost at Jonesville 57-12 on Tuesday night. It was the second time this season the Comets defeated the Chargers.
Jonesville led 6-2 after the first quarter but the game got out of hand in the second stanza as Jonesville scored 27 unanswered points.
Megan Russell had four points for Union City. The Chargers dropped to 0-9 in the Big 8 and 1-12 overall.
