COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A man who was brought back to Branch County to face charges in three sex crime cases entered no contest pleas to a pair of charges Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
38-year-old Travis Leon Howard-Kinsey of Carlisle, Kentucky entered the pleas to charges of attempted second degree criminal sexual conduct and assault with intent to committ sexual penitration.
All other charges will be dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for the pleas. Howard-Kinsey is scheduled to be sentenced on March 23, 2020.
Authorities say the incidents involving an underage girl went back to 2008. Howard-Kinsey was arrested following an investigation by to the Michigan State Police.
