QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy American Legion will honor past and present heroes on Memorial Day.
New Commander Nick Loomis will lead a brief ceremony beginning at 1:00 pm next Monday afternoon with the raising of the flag, taps performed by Quincy High School Senior A.J. Henderson and a 21 gun salute.
The ceremony will be held at the Quincy American Legion Post which is located at 104 East Chicago Street.
Due to a number of reasons, there will be no Memorial Day parade this year in Quincy but Loomis promised during last week’s Quincy Village Council meeting there will be one in 2022.
The public is invited to attend next Monday’s ceremony to honor those who have served, are serving, and those who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.
